I READ: Ephesian 4: 1-6
As children of God, we have to live according to His calling. One of our callings as children of God is to be the salt and light of the world, Mark 9:50. As salt can turn those who lack in character and enhance their flavor; the same can also be said about light which illuminates darkness into clarity. This means that we as salt and light of the world have been transformed into His image which produces a positive change and a positive influence in the world. Transformation and a favorable outcome can only be experienced when we understand and personify the character of Jesus Christ. The word of God, the sermons that we listen to, and our personal relationship with God are all part of a process that will transform our character that will be in unity with that of our Lord Jesus Christ. In that sense, Let us be the salt and the light of the world.
