PRAYING THE CORRECT WAY

I READ:  Matthew 6:9-13

When we hear the word “prayer” maybe what comes to our mind is the sequence of requests we want to convey to God.  Jesus taught us the meaning of true prayer. Praying is a necessity of life; a breath of life. Praying is a means of building a relationship and communication with the Father in heaven. Every time Jesus prayed there was a purpose in His prayer that the Kingdom of God will come down, so what happened on earth was like that in heaven. In other words, in His prayer, Jesus longed for His Father to be fully sovereign over everything. How about us? Do we long for God to be fully sovereign over our prayers or do we still impose our will on God?  Do we still make “prayer” as a means of our argument with God or make prayer a bridge for us to experience Heaven on this earth?

I DECLARE: Jude 1:20 – …building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.

I DO: What actions am I going to take after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
