PRAY LIKE JESUS DOES

I READ: Matthew 6 : 9 – 13

When we hear the word “pray,” we may think about a list of requests that we would like for God to fulfill. For Jesus, however, prayer is a necessity – His breath. Prayer bridges His relationship and communication with the Father. His prayer always has purpose for God’s Kingdom to come down on earth as it is in heaven. In other words, Jesus longs for the Father to have authority over everything. How about us? Do we pray like Jesus does or do we want to force our wants to God? Do we still use prayer as a mean to argue with Him? As children of God who are spiritually mature, we ought to follow how Jesus prays. Prayer signifies a harmonious relationship between us and God, which also declares our faith in Him.

I DECLARE: Jude 1 : 20 – “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit…”

I DO: What actions am I going to take after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
