I READ: Acts 9:36-43, James 5:17-18
After Peter experienced the anointing of the Holy Spirit, then Peter’s prayer in his ministry of evangelism became very powerful. Every time he prayed miracle took place. The anointing of the Holy Spirit gave supernatural power to Peter so that through prayers he healed the sick and released those who were bonded by evil spirit and even raised people from death. Elijah experienced powerful prayers after being anointed by the Holy Spirit. He could withstand 3 ½ years of rain on the land of Israel with the aim that the Israelites would repent of their idolatry. Our prayers can also be as powerful as Peter and Elijah when our lives are filled and anointed with the Holy Spirit.
I DECLARE: James 5:16 – Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
