I READ: John 6: 1- 15
Jesus had performed a great miracle which was feeding the five thousand. The Gospel tells us that there were five loaves of bread and two fish, but after Jesus gave thanks, he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples who in turn gave them to the crowd, more than enough bread had been supernaturally generated, leaving behind 12 baskets of bread. Apparently, there is tremendous power behind thanksgiving. Thanksgiving gives birth to miracles. If we look at the lives of the people of Israel, when they were in the wilderness for 40 years, their daily lives were always filled with complaints and they were never thankful. In the end, they were not able to get into the Promised Land which was filled with abundant blessings.
I DECLARE: 1 Thessalonians 5: 18: in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
I DO: What actions am I going to take today after meditating on the Word of God?
I PRAY: I pray for IBC Church, our Pastors, and the church online service that will be held today.
