PLEASING TO THE LORD

I READ: Matthew 3:13-17

The struggle that the Lord Jesus went through when He was on earth was not easy – everything that He went through including the time when He died on the cross. The Lord Jesus was opposed and slandered by the scribes and Pharisees for the teachings He gave.  He was even called as follower of the devil because He was able to heal the sick and cast out demons.  Throughout His journey to the hill of Golgotha, He was whipped and spit upon.  Because of the obedience of the Lord Jesus to do the will of the Father, by dying on the cross to redeem the sins of all the world, the Lord Jesus was greatly exalted and honored by the Father in Heaven. Our obedience to God produces God’s favor to come down upon our lives.  If God is pleased, then we will receive his guidance, miracles, and wonders throughout our lives.

I DECLARE: Matthew 3:17 – And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

I DO: What actions am I going to take after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
