PEACE

Daily Verses: Galatians 5: 22, John 14:15-27.

Key Verse: John 14:27: Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The meaning of the word peace is quiet and tranquility. The Lord has given peace in each of our hearts as His children. But often times, we lose that peace in our hearts. There are a few reasons why we can lose peace. First, is the presence of unrighteousness or sin in our lives (Isaiah 32:17). The sinful feeling will cause us to not have peace, and we need to repent immediately so that peace returns. Another reason is, our peace is stolen by the devil. The devil will intimidate us with negative thoughts and these thoughts will impact our hearts negatively and at the end, we lose that peace. Another thing that can fill our hearts with peace continuously is when we have a close relationship with the Lord and always praise and worship Him.

Peace from the Lord enables us to continue to walk in His plan and will.
