PATIENCE

Daily Verses: Galatians 5: 22, James 5:7-11

Key Verse: James 5:7: “Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.”

A farmer’s harvest begins with plowing the ground, sowing the seeds, watering and giving fertilizer on those seeds. After these actions are taken, the seeds do not grow immediately. The farmer has to patiently wait until the sprouts appear and more time is needed for the plant to grow and produce the expected harvest. Often times, there are heavy rains, storms, or droughts that can disturb the growth process of the seeds. Because of these things, it’s also not rare for the farmer to start over from the beginning before he can reap the harvest he expects. That is patience. Patience is the ability to control ourselves and constantly hope until we reach the results we want. As God’s children, we need to be patient. We must be patient in suffering and waiting; we must also be patient with everyone. Abraham waited patiently and he received what God has promised him. Patience will certainly produce good fruits.

A patient person is God’s loved one.
