OBEDIENCE

I READ: Luke 22: 41-43

One of the things that are highly exalted by the Father of Jesus Christ is His obedience to His Father. Jesus’ prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane is one proof of Jesus’ obedience. Jesus was obedient and submissive to His Father not because He was afraid of being punished if he did not obey. But because Jesus truly believed that everything that the Father did was right and good. Jesus also wanted to obey and submit because He loved His Father, the love of Jesus to the Father is greater than the love of Himself. Today, let us learn from Jesus who put the Father’s will above His own will. We obey and submit to God’s will because we love Him and because we understand that His will is good and true.

I DECLARE: I Peter 5: 6: Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
