NO LONGER FOCUSING ON OURSELVES

Daily Verses : Galatians 1 : 11 – 16, 2 : 20

Key Verse : Galatians 2 : 20 : I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

After experiencing a personal encounter with God, Apostle Paul’s life changed from a life that hated Christ, to a life in which Christ was the focus of everything. Paul was an apostle who received a lot of revelations of God’s grace. Grace is when a person is not justified by their actions but instead by what Jesus Christ has done for that person on the Cross. Prior to Paul’s repentance, he persecuted Christians. However, after he received God’s grace, the focus of his life was no longer himself, but it was Christ as seen from Galatians 2 : 20. Furthermore in Philippians 1 : 21, Paul said to live is Christ. Christ is the one whom he will always lifted up high in his life. Today, the Lord is reminding us, His church, to not be bothered by other things that can shift/blur our focus in Jesus Christ. Sometimes, all the busyness in our daily lives can cause us to forget God. Keep directing your heart and mind to God and His kingdom.

We can place Jesus first in our lives if we’ve experienced His great love and grace in our lives.
