I READ: James 3: 14-18
Envy/jealousy is a feeling of dissatisfaction or disappointment over what others’ have. An envious person tends to always compare himself/herself with others and begin to have a sense of competition with other people. They always want to be the best and are always pursuing another people’s recognition. People who are possessed by envy can do desperate and aggressive actions to release their envy. They will endeavor with every effort, so the target person falls and suffers. Person who is filled with envy cannot possibly maintain unity. A good example was King Saul, how he was so jealous and envious of David because David could defeat more Philistines than him. His envy made him chase David to kill him. At the end of his life, he died in the battle.
I DECLARE: Proverbs 14: 30 – A sound heart is life to the body, but envy is rottenness to the bones.
I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?
I PRAY: Pray for my VIP List. All the people that I want them to receive Jesus as their Lord & Savior.
