NAAMAN

RENUNGAN : 2 Kings 5:1- 4

Naaman was a commander of the Syrian Army who continuously experienced victory in his battles. But there was one thing that troubled his heart. Naaman was a leper. One day, Naaman’s servant girl, who was an Israelite, suggested for Naaman to go to Israel to meet a prophet by the name of Elisha. This prophet would be able to heal him. Naaman traveled to Israel and met Prophet Elisha. The prophet instructed Naaman to bathe in the Jordan River for seven times. When Naaman heard this, he became upset and refused to do what was told. His soldiers convinced him to stay obedient regardless and just do what was told by Prophet Elisha. Finally he obeyed and submerged his body in the Jordan River seven times. When he came out of the water on the seventh time, he saw that he was healed of his leprosy.
