MASTER AND SERVANT

I READ: Matthew 24:45-51.

The main requirement of a servant is to have an obedient heart and is willing to listen to his/her master.  Servanthood is an attitude exemplified by Jesus when he served on this earth and did the Father’s work.  In the Garden of Gethsemane, the Lord Jesus sweat became like drops of blood and he said, “not mine, but let Your will be done.”  Can we say the same exact phrase to God?  As children of God, we must realize that the Lord Jesus is the master over our lives, not our families, not our money, not our wealth, or other worldly things.  In these days that are getting closer to the rapture of the body of Christ, we should be more diligent in doing the will of God and we should continue to do so until we are picked up in the clouds.  Matthew 7:21 says, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”  Don’t be too late but let us work on our salvation diligently and also live to please the heart of the Father in heaven.

I DECLARE: Psalm 119:124: “Deal with Your servant according to Your mercy and teach me Your statutes.”

I DO: I will not rebel if I have to be molded to have the heart of a servant.

I PRAY: I am going to pray for my VIP list so that the Lord can soften their hearts and they will realize that they need the Lord and Savior.
