I READ: Luke 6:27-35
It is easy to love those who love and do good to us. The Word of God says that this kind of love has no merit because sinners do the same thing. As children of God, we are asked to love our enemies, asking for blessings for those who curse and pray for those who scold us. This is not easy. We must ask for ability from the Holy Spirit and pray that the unconditional love of Christ fills our hearts. The power of evils who wants to divide families, churches, and a nation can only be defeated by unconditional love. Unconditional love is also one of the touchstones of whether we who have believed in God for many years have matured spiritually.
I DECLARE: 1 John 4:11 – Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?
I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
