Daily Verses: 1 Corinthians 13, Ruth 1:15-17.
Key Verse: Proverbs 16:32: “He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.”
The definition of patient is the ability to withstand trials, not easily angered, does not lose hope easily, and easily gets broken hearted. Ruth is an example of someone who has love followed by patience. Ruth followed her mother-in-law faithfully because of her love for her. She waited patiently and bore the burden as a widow. Ruth never complained even when she had to work hard to find food in a foreign land. God saw Ruth’s patient and love and God changed her situation. She was lifted up and Jesus Christ, our savior, was born from the offspring of Ruth. A patient person will be calm in facing the trials and tribulations of life. If someone says that they have love but no patience then that love will be tasteless. True love will give patience in dealing wiht others and in bad situations. Love that is accompanied by patient will enable someone to walk this life calmly and believe that there’s a way out in every problem. Let us learn from Jesus who truly love and is very patient towards us. He always forgives our sins and mistakes.
A patient person will not stumble easily.
