LOVE ACCOMPANIED BY SINCERITY

Daily Verses: Psalm 97:10-12.

Key Verse: Psalm 73:1:”Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart”.

The meaning of the word sincere is: pure in heart, earnest, honest, does not pretend, and unaffected. The one who knows if someone has a sincere heart is the Lord. People do not know because insincerity can be concealed with nice facial expressions and words. Sincerity is a very important quality for the Lord. One of the tests for sincerity is in the matter of giving. Someone who gives sincerely does not hope for anything in return. But if we are not sincere, our heart will be disappointed when our gift is not returned as we expected. Sincerity is also tested when we praise someone. Do we only praise people to please them, but in reality, what’s in our heart does not match our words? We also need to be sincere in loving people. Someone who loves sincerely will still be able to love even if the person does unpleasant and disappointing things. Learn from the Lord Jesus, who can love us sincerely even when we still fall into sin and often disappoint Him.

Maintaining insincerity will turn someone into a hypocrite
