LIVING A RIGHTEOUS LIFE

I READ: Jeremiah 23:5-6, Philippians 3:7-11

Jesus Christ is Jehovah Tsidkenu, the Lord our righteousness. We are not able to make ourselves righteous, not even by doing good deeds. The reason is because we can never be perfect. As long as we reside on this earth, the law of sin will pull us perpetually. Jesus Christ is the only entity who was able to complete His task flawlessly. A task bestowed upon Him by His Father in heaven, the work of His Cross. Jesus uttered “It is finished!” to His Father; when He was nailed to the cross. For that reason, only our faith and His work on the cross, can make us righteous. God has set us free from the feeling of condemnation/shame and sense of worthless that have been flung into us unceasingly by the accuser, the devil. Do not abide in sin and error because God has forgiven and justified us with His precious blood.

I DECLARE: Philippians 3:9 – and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith…

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
