KING SAUL

Daily Verses : 1 Samuel 13 : 1-14

Key Verse : 1 Samuel 13 : 13-14 : …he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time. But now your kingdom will not endure.

Today we will learn from King Saul. King Saul was Israel’s first king. As Israel’s first king, when God placed him as king, God promised that his kingdom would be forever, the offspring of his offspring would become the king’s of Israel forever. Yet, King Saul lost that opportunity. His Kingdom which was supposed to be his family’s forever, tragically ended. God chose someone else to replace him, which was David. Why did Saul lose that opportunity? It turns out that it was because of his sin of disobeying God. He was not obedient to God and to his spiritual leader that God appointed, Samuel. He even got mad at Samuel because of not coming at the right time. He made a sacrifice that was supposed to be Samuel’s. These events show that Samuel was not obedient to God. It was ashame that he didn’t want to repent because he ended up tragically dying.

Obey God and the leaders that God has appointed to you, and every door of opportunity and anointing will be opened for you by God.
