HIDDEN MYSTERY

Daily Verses : Colossians 1 : 15 – 29
Key Verse : Colossians 1 : 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him

In the book of Colossians, the Apostle Paul continued to open up about the knowledge of Christ. In verses 16-19, he teaches about the supremacy of Christ – that Christ is both Lord and God, and that in Him all things were created, in heaven and earth, and in the whole universe. Jesus existed before everything else, and that is why He is called the Alpha and Omega – the first and last, who was, and is, and is to come, the Almighty (Revelations 1:8). Jesus is the foremost in all things. Paul teaches on how the Church can make Jesus the foremost and center of their lives. Paul also teaches that there is a mystery that the Lord is revealing to His holy people, a mystery which the nations (the world) do not understand because it remains hidden from them. What is this mystery? It is Christ in us, Christ among our family, church, and our community. If He lives in our midst, then there is nothing impossible for us, and miracles still exist. The world seeks after miracles – a way out or victory that they cannot find. But we, His children, live lives that are full of miracles and victory because Jesus dwells in our midst and is at the center of it all.

The mystery has been revealed to us. Make Jesus the focus in your life, and you will experience miracles, victories, and blessings.
