HATING SIN

Daily Verses : 1 John 3:1-6

Key Verse : 1 John 3: 4 : Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

The Word of God says that when we receive the Lord Jesus as our God and Savior, we are a new creation, the old has passed away and the new has come.  This means that our life that was full of sins was exchanged with a new life.  Sadly, many Christians still enjoy playing with sins.  They keep on falling, getting back up, and falling again.  They are not able to experience how wonderful it is to live with God.  The verse above says that whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness.  As people who love the Lord, we should hate sin.  Those who violate the law of God by living in sin are going to lose God’s protection.  If God’s protection is lifted from our life, the devil has an easier time intimidating us and taking over our lives.  Don’t ever again play with sin, but instead, live in holiness.   Remember that the world is always paying attention to how we live as children of God.  Stay away from sin and live a righteous life so that we can become good examples for the people around us.

Remember that often times committing sin seem sweet but there are always bitter consequences in the end.
