Daily reading : Matthew 5 : 13-16
Key Verse : Matthew 5:16 : Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
The hustle and bustle of everyday life, the increase in the cost of living, and a wide range of problems in life tend to make humans focus on their own interests. The word of God above reminds us that we have to keep shining in the midst of this world that is becoming more chaotic, full of pressures and darkness. One of the ways in which other people can see the light of Christ in us is through the good works that we do. By doing goods we can bring someone to Jesus, we can also comfort those in need, and we can even provide answers. When we do a good deed, don’t expect something in return, but do it with a sincere heart because every good deed we do will not only be a blessing for others, but we are also sowing seeds. We will then receive the reward in heaven. The more often we do good things, the more often we will receive goodness because whatever we sow, we will also reap.
This is the time for the world to see that we are different because of the good deeds that we do. And we do them without expecting anything in return and without losing heart.
