I READ: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22.
Many people have a misunderstanding of the true meaning of thanksgiving. Their opinion of showing gratitude is when they give thanks verbally. the right way of showing gratefulness starts from the heart, a heart that is filled with thanksgiving to God. First Thessalonians 5:18 reminds us that we have to give thanks in all circumstances, no matter what our personal conditions may be. God sees our heart and He will bestow rewards to those that owned a thankful heart. A heart that has the ability to give thanks in all situations is from God, not because all of the good things that God has done for us. Do not envy others if their prayers have been answered or if they have received miracles from God. Continue to give thanks despite the fact that the miracles are yet happening. Continue to hold on God’s promises and they will come to pass if we have a thankful heart. (Psalm 37:4) “Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
I DECLARE: Colossians 4:2:” Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;”
I DO: First thing in the morning, I will give thanks and show my gratitude for God’s goodness in my life.
I PRAY: I will pray for this election year so the process will run smoothly, and the elected president will be able to bring this nation back to God
