I READ: Revelation 2:1-7
The second coming of the Lord is getting closer. We are witnessing the signs of the end times as written in Matthew 24. As a church of God, we need to be watchful because He can come at any time. First and foremost, we have to maintain our first love to God: is it still burning in our hearts? Do you still have that love when you first received Him as your Lord and Savior? Are your hearts still on fire serving the Lord? Or instead, have your hearts turned cold? If so, Revelation 2:5 reminds us to return to the first love we had when we were on fire for Him, be it our passion, prayer life, or even diligence in reading His Word and getting involved in the ministry without asking something in return.
I DECLARE: John 2:17 – … Zeal for your house has eaten Me up.
I DO: What actions am I going to take after meditating on the Word of God?
I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
