Daily Reading: Philippians 3:7-14
The Apostle Paul truly understood the meaning of living in God’s calling. When God visited Paul on his way to Damascus, his life was changed drastically. He’s the only Apostle that ever said, “to live is Christ and to die is gain.” After he repented, the Apostle Paul did not stop spreading the Gospel even though he was denied and rejected by many. His spirit was always on fire because he understood the meaning of what is to life. At the end of his life, the Apostle Paul was able to say that he has finished the race well and have kept his faith (2 Timothy 4:7). How about us who have been called by God when we were saved? Are we still living in God’s calling? What we do at the end of lives will determine whether we’re victorious or defeated in the race that God has placed us in. Matthew 7:21 says – “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” Let this verse be a reminder that we need to faithfully live in our own individual calling.
