FAITH AND THANKSGIVING

I READ: Philippians 4: 6-9

To have a heart of thanksgiving during rough times means that we believe that the things we’ve prayed for have been done in the spirit, and we only need to wait for it to happen in the physical world. In our thanksgiving, there is an element of faith. It’s not possible for someone who doesn’t believe in God’s power to give thanks. It’s not possible for someone who is fearful and doubtful of God’s willingness to answer his or her prayers to give thanks. The thanksgiving that comes from a heart that believes and has faith in God will definitely birth God’s answers and prayers. When Jesus Christ had to feed 5000 people with only 5 loaves of bread and 2 whole fish, He gave thanks to the Father in Heaven before he fed them. Even though the feat of feeding that many people with so little food was logically impossible, His thanksgiving birthed an amazing miracle where 5000 people were able to eat until they were full, and still 12 baskets of bread were left over. There is nothing that is impossible for those who believe in always giving thanks to God. Miracles are still here for those who believe.

I DECLARE:  Psalm 107: 1: Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

I DO: Even if the situation in my life isn’t good at the moment, I will learn to give thanks and fully surrender my life to God.

I PRAY: I will keep praying for my VIP prayer list and ask them to come to the service this Sunday.
