FAITH AND ACTION

I READ: Exodus 14: 1-3

When the Israelites were on their way out from Egypt, after a long period of being enslaved, they were suddenly chased by the Pharaoh and his army. They were trying to enslave them again. The Israelites wanted to run but in front of them was the Red Sea. This caused a panic within the Israelites. Moses, as the leader of the Israelites, however, didn’t panic. He believed that God would help them with His amazing power. When God commanded Moses to do an act of faith, which is to lift up his rod over the Red Sea, he did it without questioning the Lord. When he did that, the Red Sea was divided in half and the Israelites were able to cross the sea. When they were successful in crossing the Red Sea, the Pharaoh’s soldiers were still chasing after them and they were in the middle of the sea. Suddenly the sea became one again and every one of the Pharaoh’s soldiers drowned. Through this story, we can learn that Moses’ faith and action bore a miracle.

I DECLARE:  James 2: 22: Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works, faith was made perfect?

I DO: If there is an act of faith that God wants me to do today, I will obey without questioning Him.

I PRAY: I will lift a prayer of thanksgiving for America in the prayer tower with friends in faith.
