FAITH AND ACT OF FAITH

I READ: Matthew 17:14–20

In the Bible, Jesus taught His disciples how to receive miracles and experience the impossible. First, He reminded them to have faith. 1 Timothy 1:14 says when we believe in Christ Jesus and His work on the cross, our faith will rise. Jesus also taught His disciples to put their faith to work through actions. In Matthew 17:18, Jesus rebuked an evil spirit from a child who was sick. If we believe in God, we become brave and start to pray with power and we can rebuke the devil that’s trying to distract our lives. In verse 20, Jesus declared the Word of God and released words of blessings.

I DECLARE: Hebrew 11:1 – Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
