I READ: 1 Kings 18:20–40
Today we are going to learn about a dedicated heart in our relationship with our Lord Jesus. Elijah is a good example of someone who experienced the power and miracle of God when a fire came down from heaven and burnt the altar in front of the children of Israel. This miracle happened due to his complete dedication to the Lord. Whereas the children of Israel during that time were not faithful and dedicated to the Lord as they were serving their flesh and god of Baal. The word of God reminds us multiple times to only dedicate our hearts only to Him. We have to repent if we are still prioritizing anything else other than our Lord, whether it is family, our job, or ourselves.
I DECLARE: James 4:8 – Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?
I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
