DEFEAT THE DEVIL

Daily Verses : 1 Peter 5:6-11.
Key Verse : 1 Peter 5:9: Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

There are many Christians who are afraid of the devil and think that only a pastor can cast out demons. The Lord Jesus has defeated the devil on the cross and he no longer has the power to bother the lives of God’s children. God has given His power to each of His children to defeat the devil, but often times that power cannot work due to the absence of faith. We need to defeat the devil with a firm faith, this means believing that God’s Word for specific situations will take place in our lives and don’t believe in the wiles of the devil. The Word that is declared diligently will make the devil flee from our lives. Other than a firm faith, another absolute requirement is to put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-18). It is no longer the time for God’s children to live in defeat, but this is the time where we need to stand firm, take the rights from the devil’s hand and always be a conqueror in all things. Spiritual warfare must be a part of our Christian life so that whatever the devil wants to steal from our lives, he will not succeed.

We are God’s chosen people, a royal priesthood that will proclaim the praises of Him.
