Daily Verses : 1 Thessalonians 2 & 3
Key Verse : 1 Thessalonians 2 : 19 : For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?
In 1 Thessalonians 2, Paul tells of his journey in sharing the Gospel and encourages the church in Thessalonica to follow his model of ministry. He reminds them that the souls who they lead to the Lord and who become saved will become their everlasting joy, and that the Lord will grant them the reward of a crown of rejoicing at the time of His second coming. Paul strengthens the church in Thessalonica by explaining that even though they may have to labor through hardships in sharing the Gospel, it will not be done in vain. In 1 Thessalonians 3, Paul sends Timothy to further strengthen the Thessalonians in their sharing of the Gospel. Paul reminds them that in order to remain strong in sharing the Gospel, they must work together as a team. It is important to work together in unity so that there will be some who can build up others who are in a time of weakness.
Do not lose hope, continue to testify about Christ through the sharing of the Gospel and our own personal testimonies, for all that we do will never be in vain.
