COMPLETE OBEDIENCE

I READ: John 2:1–11

When we are waiting for miracles, our part is to wait and hope for the Lord’s instruction. God wants our obedience, that is obedience without special conditions or requirements. More often we are willing to do what God tells us to do only when it’s convenient for us, which is obedience with requirements. Examine closely the servants at the wedding in Cana. They obeyed the Lord’s instruction to pour water into the clay pots then into the glass which was served to the host of the party. Even though were aware that the glass is filled with water, they diligently obeyed without questioning their master. They knew that they would be fired if they were to serve water to the guests. Their obedience was what materialized the miracles.

I DECLARE: Ezekiel 36:26 – I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
