I READ: 1 Timothy 6
Paul’s advice for the children of God was how our lifestyle should reflect the glory and light of the Lord. Paul also reminded us as children of God to avoid quarrels and slender/gossip. In our daily life it is important not to fall into the temptation of loving money and the desire to get rich. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. For the pursuit of money some children of God may stray from their faith and prefer to work more rather than deal with spiritual matters. Besides heavenly treasures that we have collected while we minister on this earth, we will not bring anything else with us when we die. So, do not focus on the riches of the world, but let Jesus be our primary focus.
I DECLARE: 1 Timothy 6:12 – Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confessions in the presence of many witnesses.
I DO: What actions am I going to take after meditating on the Word of God?
I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
