A FEW ADVICES

I READ: 1 Timothy 6

Paul gave Timothy some final advice to be taught to the congregation on how their lifestyle should reflect God’s glory and light. For example, in our workplace, we can be a blessing and witness to the leaders of the company. We should avoid arguments and gossip in our workplace. We should not fall into temptation and the love of money and our fleshly desire to be rich. It is said that the root of all evil stems from the love of money. There are many who prioritize/prefer their work rather than doing those things concerning God (spiritual work). We will not be able to bring a single thing we have in this world when we go to heaven other than the heavenly treasure we collect when we serve God in this world. Let this be a reminder to not focus on the riches of this world, instead let our focus and priority be on God.

I DECLARE: 1 Timothy 6: 12: Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

I DO: Today I will pray and ask for the Holy Spirit to give me new anointing so that I can become a light for this dark world, for my co-workers, for my school, for my family, etc.

I PRAY: Today I will pray with my family in unity and pray for the items that are in our prayer list.
