A BURNING SPIRIT

I READ: 1 Thessalonians 5

Through this chapter, Apostle Paul reminded us to guard our spirit so that it is continuously on fire. How can we do this? We need to live in faith, love, and God’s grace so that we can love one another. We also need to rejoice, give thanks, and faithfully pray. Whatever is happening in our lives, we need to give thanks and believe that in the end everything will be okay. We have to increase our intimacy with God by praying, praising, worshipping the Lord, meditating on His Word, declaring His Word, and doing His Word. If we also guard our holiness, we can keep our spirit burning.

I DECLARE: 1 Thessalonians 5:23 – Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
