FILLED WITH THE WORD OF GOD AND HOLY SPIRIT

I READ: Matthew 25:1-13

The parable of 10 wise and foolish virgins symbolizes God’s church.  There are 5 wise children of God and 5 foolish children of God.  Why were they foolish? Because they missed God’s visitation in their lives.  The 10 virgins waited for the bridegroom to arrive but at the end, there were only 5 of them who went in with him to the wedding.  They were able to experience God’s visitation because they had lamps and oil in their possession. In Psalms 119:105; God’s Word is referred to as a lamp and oil is a representation of the anointing of the Holy Spirit, Exodus 29:7.  While we are waiting for God’s visitation, we need to be filled with His Word by declaring it day and night.  We also need to be anointed and filled always by the Holy Spirit.

I DECLARE: Psalms 57:7 – My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
