BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO ARE PERSECUTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS

Daily Verses: 2 Timothy 3:10-17.

Key verse: Matthew 5:10:”Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Apostle Paul is a follower of Jesus who often experienced persecution. He was able to endure all the persecution because he clearly knew the calling in his life, “for me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” He did whatever it took for the gospel to reach the nations. In these end times, God’s children can also experience various kinds of persecution for living in righteousness. It can be physical, mental or spiritual persecution. Whatever persecution we are experiencing, believe in God’s Word that says we will not be tempted beyond what we can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). The Lord will give us strength and He will faithfully stay by our side when that persecution takes place. Continue to focus our eyes on God’s calling and the crown we will receive in eternal life; this will make us strong in times of persecution. Let us learn from the Lord Jesus, Apostle Paul and other biblical characters to endure in faith and stay faithful until the end.

Someone who endures persecution will have a strong and unshakable faith.
