NOT MAINTAINING YOUR RIGHT

Daily Verses : Romans 12:19, 1 Corinthians 9:12

Key Verse : Philippians 2:6: “Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God.”

In 1 Corinthians 9, Apostle Paul wrote that he did not ask for his rights as an apostle – all the sacrifices he has done in delivering the Gospel. Paul’s actions show his pure motives in his ministry. He did his ministry, not based on what he received, but rather with the intention of spreading the Gospel all over the world. If we want to learn to be humble, we do not need to maintain our right because we believe that the Lord will give a reward to those who are pleasing to Him.  Those who want to let go of their right will be exalted by the Lord. Besides Paul, the Lord Jesus is an example of this (Philippians 2:6). When the Lord Jesus released His right as the Son of God and was willing to be mocked and persecuted until death on the cross, God the Father exalted Him and gave Him the name above all names. When we release what we feel is our right, the Lord will show our truth and provide what is our right without our own efforts.

Giving and forgiving are some of the forms of releasing your right.
