Daily Verses : Colossians 2 : 11 – 23
Key Verse : Colossians 2 : 14 : having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
Apostle Paul revealed the absolute victories that we will experience as the Lord’s church when we believe in Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross. In Colossians chapter 2, He reveals the three absolute victories. Firstly, through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross, sin can no longer overpower us. The Lord has forgiven all of our trespasses and nailed everything to the cross, verses 11-14. Secondly, through His work on the cross, the devil has been defeated and Jesus is gloriously victorious. He has given that victory to us, His church, verse 15. Thirdly, the curse of the law has also been nailed to Jesus at the cross, so that we no longer need to live under the law, but instead under God’s grace, verses 16-17, 21-23. We no longer need to live in fear of condemnation if we are unable to fulfill the laws. Jesus has freed us from the curse of the law, verse 20, by taking on the curse for us, so that now our lives are under God’s grace and not under the law.

In faith, receive Jesus’ absolute victory at the cross. Don’t ever doubt it.
