I READ: Luke 8 : 4 – 15, Ezekiel 36 : 26
Our devotion today pictures us as a seed on a soil – some fell by the wayside, some fell on the rock, some fell among the thorns, and others fell on good ground. People who are not yet spiritually mature are like the seeds that fall on the first three soils. Every time that God’s Word is poured onto their hearts, some would immediately reject it, some would receive it but not for long until they don’t believe in it anymore, and some would receive it but worries, wealth, and pleasures of the world make them unfruitful. It’s the other way-round with those who are spiritually mature; they receive it with joy and do what God tells them to do faithfully so that their lives become fruitful. We need a new heart to grow a good soil – one that is obedient and unrelenting.
I DECLARE: Ezekiel 36:26 – I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?
I PRAY : Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
