Rejoice

Psalm 32:11:” Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!“

Life is full of dynamics. Many things can happen in the lives of people – good and bad. Experiences shape one’s character. There are people who turn bitter, but there also people who rejoice as they pass every phase of life.

For sure, everyone wants joyful experiences. When asked, everyone has the same goal/purpose and that is to live happily and with joy. But, their many people who take the wrong step in seeking joy and happiness. They often seek after temporary happiness – one that is not eternal and that will eventually destroy their lives.

In order to have a life full of joy and true happiness, it is important to build it based on the kingdom of God. What this means is that we live our lives according to God’s Word. At the beginning of the book of Psalm, King David says, “Blessed are those whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law, he meditates day and night” (Psalm 1:2). David is saying those who are blessed or happy are those who love the Word of God and hold onto it as their guidance.

If we long for a life that is full of joy and happiness, start spending time with God’s Word everyday. It is impossible for someone to have true joy without having God’s Word living and growing in their heart. The life that is full of joy from the Lord will be our strength in facing challenges in our lives.

Those who rejoice will activate good nerves and cells in their body. Those who rejoice will enjoy a healthy life because a cheerful heart is a good medicine. Those who rejoice inspire and motivate the people around them. Joy is contagious. Therefore, let us spread joy to our families and surroundings.

Other than the Word of God, someone will be filled with joy when he/she lives in integrity and sincerity, fearing and honoring the Lord.

Those who live in joy will surely experience true happiness and they will not be controlled by their situation. Let us inspire others through our lives because the joy of the Lord is within us. God bless.
