Experience The Power of The Cross

1 Peter 2 : 24 : = who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”

When we think about the Father’s love, there is no other love that can compare to what Jesus did on the cross for us – His amazing sacrifice on the cross, his suffering, being whipped and beaten, and died pouring out His blood so that we can also die of sin and no longer be slaves of sin. Jesus died, resurrected and defeated death; and we, as believers, also resurrected and experience a new life in Christ Jesus.

Not only our sicknesses are healed and restored, but every area of our lives as well. Numbers 21:8-9 tells a story of when the Israelites sinned in the desert, serpents would appear (a symbol of evil that wants to bring people to eternal death) and bite them until they are in pain due to the poison and die. But, they called out to Moses asking for God’s forgiveness and help. God then commanded Moses to make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and whoever looks at it, is to live and be healed.

The Lord Jesus, who was crucified, was nailed on the cross so that those who believe and look to Him will also be saved and healed. John 3:14-15 says: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”

The Lord’s message for the church in the end times is to draw near to Him, know His love and grace. Jesus wants us to experience the work of the cross, which is complete restoration in every area of our lives, before His second coming so that the glory of the Lord can be revealed through us. Live in intimacy with the Lord, meditate on His Word day and night, find His promises and hold on to them so that we can continue to be excited and stand firm in these days that are becoming evil. Let our focus be not on the things that are not of the Lord. We have to focus again on the victory of Jesus’ work on the cross that was done two thousand years ago.

Believe and do not be anxious because God’s Word will produce faith in our hearts so that we may experience His miracles. He has given us faith that can defeat the evil power – faith that has overcome the world (1 John 5:4b), through the Jesus’ victory on the cross. Hallelujah, praise the name of the Lord Jesus.
