Be Strong In The Lord

Ephesians 6 : 10 : = “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”

It is our choice to be strong in the Lord, not others. The Lord has prepared spiritual strength for us through His Word. Many people exercise so they can be healthy and strong. This is good because it makes us healthy physically. It is the same spiritually. To be strong in the Lord does not mean we don’t ever get weak, but it is about standing firm in every situation.

The strength of our life is only in Jesus because He is the source of our strength. Especially seeing the condition of the world these days, we can easily feel worried, afraid and weak. Remember the Word of God from Galatians 6:9 that says we can reap when we do not lose heart. Do not grow weary when we experience problems, believe that we can overcome all things in the Christ Jesus who gives us strength.

It’s true that it is not easy to remain strong, especially during times of trouble. The devil tries to poison our thoughts with his lies. Remember how the devil tries to tempt Jesus by giving his ideas and opinions. But, the Word that is strongly rooted in our lives will be an effective weapon to defeat the devil. Therefore, we must always meditate on the Word of God and do it. We need to feed our faith with God’s promises so that we can be victorious in every problem that comes our way. Psalm 1:2-3 says those who meditate on the Word of God day and night will be like a tree that produces fruit in its due season and does not wither.

Only a strong tree will produce fruits.  The Lord wants us to become someone who is strong because those who are strong in the Lord will: experience growth, be fruitful (bear fruits of repentance, ministry and evangelism), be victorious over the temptation of sin, not be easily shaken by the various false teachings, be able to overcome problems, and reap the promises of God.

Be someone who is strong in the Lord by always waiting upon Him in our prayers and meditate on His Word. Those who wait upon the Lord will be given new strength, they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not be weary, the will walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Have an awesome day. Blessed be the name of the Lord Jesus.
