A Positive Attitude

Proverbs 19:11:” The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and his glory is to overlook a transgression.”

Every day we have the opportunity to get angry, frustrated or offended. Maybe our plans failed or someone has done harsh things to us. Maybe we had to do something that only required one hour of our time but it had to take three hours. Life is often filled with uncertainties or unpleasant situations. What we must remember is that we cannot control the situations that are happening, but we can control our reactions. It says that life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it.

As God’s children, we must be able to walk daily with a positive and hopeful attitude. This can only happen when we start our day with prayer and fellowship with the Lord. Having time with the Lord before we start our other activities will enable us to have a heart that’s full of peace and wisdom to face the whole day. Often times God speaks through the Word and we can react according to the Word.

Remember that we are created to live in peace. Peace and joy are our strength to live in victory daily. Those whose hearts are filled with peace will be calm when they face various problems that come unexpectedly.

On the other hand, the devil always wants to steal what is good from our lives. The Bible says, “The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. But I have come so that they may have life, and they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10. The devil will intimidate us in various ways. He uses our family, other people, or a situation, to steal away our peace and joy. He will even whisper negative things to make us lose our faith and hope. To go against all of this, there is no other way other than coming to the Lord and He will give us peace, joy and a victorious life.

Everything that is negative comes from the evil one, but all things positive is in the Lord. Those who have intimacy with the Lord will go through life with a positive attitude. Problems may come, sicknesses may come, but together with the Lord we will keep moving forward, experience victory and keep living in the plan and calling of the Lord.

A positive attitude shows that we are always thankful with what the Lord gives us. Other people will see that we are different because Jesus lives within us. This positive aura will give a positive impact and bless others.

Let us go through our days with a positive mind, words and heart. God bless.
