THIRST FOR TRUTH

I READ: Matthew 5: 33 – 37

There is no one in this world who is perfect. Only the Lord our God is perfect in every sense. In all of our imperfectness/flaws, we tend to make mistakes in life. Mistakes in the choice we make, in the things we say, in our actions, and etc. The word of God today teaches us that we should live boldly in His truth, in others words whenever we make mistakes in our lives whether it is towards God or others, we have to boldly recognize our mistakes and proclaim the truth. We have to go after that truth with the same boldness even though there might be consequences. In all of this, we should not be selfish nor be indecisive because of fear or our self-comfort. For when we live righteously through Him, we will able to live in peace and not in bondage for we no longer have to cover up our weakness with sin. Matthew 6: 33 says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

I DECLARE: Matthew 5: 6: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
