I READ: Exodus 12:3-13
God appointed Moses to free the Israelites from the bondage of slavery and to lead them out of Egypt. God sent plague after plague so that pharaoh would free the Israelites. Instead pharaoh hardened his heart which made God send the final plague. The plague of death came over Egypt and took the lives of Egypt’s first born. What happened to the people of Israel who were there? All of the Israelites in Egypt obeyed God and placed the blood of the sacrificial lamb on their doorposts. The plague of death was not able to enter the Israelites’ homes when it saw the blood on their doorposts. What does this mean exactly? The blood of the sacrificial lamb symbolized the blood of Jesus Christ. Whenever we pray to God to protect us with His blood, the devil is not able to touch our lives.
