I READ : John 16:7 – 15, Acts 1:1-11
Today is the Ascension Day of Jesus to Heaven. What is the significance of Jesus ascension to heaven? Jesus had to ascend to heaven so that the Holy Spirit can come down to earth. Why does the Holy Spirit have to descend to the earth? So that the Holy Spirit can work all over the world to convict the world and bring it to salvation, John 16:8. For us the Holy Spirit will also continue to bring us to righteousness, John 16:13. He will also be a comforter to us and the source of our strength , John 16:7. We are grateful to the Lord for His ascension which caused His Holy Spirit and His power to be poured out into our lives. Facing an increasingly ugly world we need to always be accompanied by the power of the Holy Spirit, so that our lives will always experience triumph and deliverance.
I DECLARE : Acts 1:8: But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
