I READ: Revelation 12 : 10 – 12
God punished the Egyptians with plagues due to pharaoh’s insubordination for not allowing the Israelites to leave Egypt. The spirit of death advanced towards Egypt and killed all the firstborn sons. What happened to the Israelites who also lived in Egypt? The spirit of death passed over the Israelites because of the marking of the blood of the lamb above their doors per God’s earlier instructions. What does this mean? The blood of the Lamb personifies Jesus’ blood. When we pray and ask God to protect us with His blood, He will cover us and the devil no longer has any access. We are under God’s perfect protection.
