SET YOUR MINDS ON THINGS ABOVE

I READ: Colossians 3 : 2, 5-17

David is known as a man after God’s own heart because he prioritized his fellowship with the Lord throughout his life. He was close with God and knew what was in His heart. Similarly, as believers, we should set our minds on things above, which can be translated as matters that are close to God’s heart. We need to be careful about what we think because our mind is the best battleground the devil will constantly infiltrate. If our thoughts are contaminated with condemnation and intimidation, we will easily focus on the negative sides of our life, hence why it is very important to remind ourselves to think about things above than on the earth.

I DECLARE: 1 Corinthians 2 : 16b – … But we have the mind of Christ.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
