SELF CONTROL

I READ : 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

The word self control in Greek is En Kratos, which stands for “in” (En) and “power” (Kratos). Someone who has self control shows that he has power within himself that can eventually become stronger when he builds a close relationship with God. Having self control for a believer also reflects spiritual maturity because such characteristic enables the individual to withstand any temptations, emotions, or other forms of worldly pleasure. Self control and self discipline are two inseparable factors to reach a God-like spiritual maturity. Today let the Holy Spirit lead our lives so we can have self control in everything we do and become a living witness to other people around us.

I DECLARE : Proverbs 16:32b: “And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.”

I DO : What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY : Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit.
