RESPECT SPIRITUAL LEADERS

I READ: 2 Thessalonians 3

The Apostle Paul gave some final message for the congregation at Thessalonica in how they should support, respect, and pray for their spiritual leaders.  Spiritual leaders work hard for their congregations. They preach the gospel selflessly even though they often face those people who are not able to accept the gospel with joy.  They are given responsibility by God to lead the congregation and warn the church who still needs guidance. Even in this matter, they still face challenges from people who are not able to accept being reprimanded, directed, and taught.  Apostle Paul reminded us to uphold spiritual leaders by showing them love and appreciating their work by not denying their teachings.

I DECLARE: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 – And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.

I DO: What action will I take today after meditating on the Word of God?

I PRAY: Pray as guided by the Holy Spirit
